There are no more four seasons

Members: George Kentros and Mattias Petersson

”...from the ashes, something wholly new is created. It's as if the melancholy violin rises from the ruins and, like a postapocalyptic Mad Max, dusts himself off to continue towards new adventures. At that moment I refuse to believe all the predictions that classical music is withering away." (Johanna Paulsson, Dagens Nyheter, about re:Biber)

There are no more four seasons is a duo comprised of the electronic musician Mattias Petersson and experimental violinist George Kentros. They are veterans of the ”reclaim the classical” movement, making their first piece together (based on Vivaldi’s Four Seasons) in 2004. Four years later, they released their first CD, which the biggest daily paper in Sweden called one of the ten best classical recordings of that decade. Since then, they have released another large-scale recording and a single, also touring the US, Canada, Europe and New Zealand, and tours to Mexico and Japan planned for this year. Time Out New York called them a must see concert when they first played there, writing that ”the result fits together more perfectly than any Ikea bookshelf.”

For this project, There are no more for seasons will perform the piece “unravelled”.
